Sweetie Pie Ann is a Primitive Raggedy Valentine Doll all handmade and designed by me, Raggedy Jayne. She measures about 13 1/2 inces tall. She holds a heart and it is about 3 inches tall by 5 inches wide. Both have been made from muslin and stuffed with polyfil. I tea-stained them with tea, vanilla and cinnamon then I baked them.
I made her dress from pink with white polka dots cotton fabric for the bodice and the skirt is made from a Valentines print with conversation hearts printed all over it. It is very sweet! I sewed a purple button to the front of her dress. Her bloomers are purple and I handstitched pink rick rack trim on them.
I stitched her nose, eyelashes, eyebrows and smile with DMC embroidery floss. I shaded her nose a little with paint. Her eyes are painted and shaded. I blushed her cute cheeks.
I handstitched Angel Hair yarn to the top of her head for hair. It is so soft and a pretty pinkish color. I added a bow to match her dress. I painted her shoes a deep pink and painted her leg stripes a lighter shade of pink to match, then sanded for an aged-look. I sewed a little pink bead to each shoe.
For her heart, I made it from muslin, stuffed it, painted it, sanded it, then I primitive stitched a smaller heart made of felt on top of that with the word "Love" that I embroidered on . Then I added a little bow to the heart to match her dress and then I glittered it up! I sewed her Love Heart to her hand.
She also comes with her own hangtag that I tea-stained and painted her face and handstamped Sweetie Pie Ann on. She can hang by the thread on the back of her head.
I designed her myself. She will come to you signed and dated by me, Raggedy Jayne.
She would make a very sweet Valentine's Day decoration or gift. All my dolls are for collectibles and decorations and not for children.
