Carol Ann is a Primitive Raggedy doll handmade by me, Raggedy Jayne. She come with her little vintage Christmas elf friend & he measures about 10" tall.
Carol Ann is about 18 inches tall. Her hands have individual fingers that are stuffed. She is made from muslin and stuffed with polyfi.l. I tea-stained her and her lil' clothes with tea, vanilla and cinnamon then I baked them for vintage charm! Carol Ann's dress is made from a green cotton print with litle candy canes & tiny snowflakes printed all over it. The skirt part of the dress is red & white striped cotton fabric with red rick rack trim that I handstitched on. I used red felt for the collar and stitched on a snowflake button. Her bloomers are muslin. I stitched her nose, eyelashes, eyebrows, mouth and smile with DMC embroidery floss.
Her eyes are painted and shaded. I blushed her cute cheeks. I painted her shoes black and socks ivory, then sanded to give a worn look. I sewed little old buttons on each shoe. Her hair is red burgundy yarn hand stitched to the top of her head. I added some ties to her ponytails to match her dress.
The cute little vintage elf comes with her. He has a plastic head & wears a red felt elf suit & hat. He is not new & is a vintage Christmas time collectible all by himself. I sewed him on to Carol Ann's hand and she hold him like he is her best friend! So cute!
All my dolls are made for decoration and for collecting and not for children. Carol Ann has her own hangtag that I tea-stained and painted her face and handstamped Carol Ann on. I sewed a loop of thread on the back of her head to hang by.
I used a Sweet Meadows Farm pattern to create Carol Ann with some lil' extras I added! She will come to you signed and dated by me, Raggedy Jayne!
