Belindy is a Primitive Raggedy Doll and her little Snowman friend all handmade by me, Raggedy Jayne. I tea-stained them with tea, vanilla and cinnamon, then baked for vintage charm!
They are the cutest pair together or separated.
Belindy is about 13 inches tall. She is a cloth doll stuffed with polyfil and made for collecting and displaying, not for children to play with.
Belindy is made of brown cotton fabric and I handpainted her eyes, mouth and smile with some shading added. Her eyelashes, eyebrows and nose are handstitched with DMC floss.
Her cheeks are blush painted and leg stripes and shoes are also painted and lightly sanded.
Belindy is wearing a dress I made from a blue cotton fabric print with snowflakes printed all over it. It has a sparkle that is made into the fabric,
I made her an apron from muslin and I handstitched some vintage trim on the edge. I made her headwrap to match her dress and it is stitched on to her head.
I sewed 6 buttons to the front of her dress. I love digging in my buttons for that special addition to my dolls! Her bloomers are made of muslin.
Belindy's little snowman friend is made of warm and natural and measures about 4 1/2" tall. I stuffed him with polyfil also.
I added some little black beads for eyes. I handstitched his nose, eyebrows and smile with DMC floss. I added a little scarf around his neck to match Belindy's dress.
I made a tag for them that says, "LET IT SNOW".

You can hang them by the loop of thread on the back of their heads. You could use the snowman as an ornament if you like or they can sit together as a pair. I used a safety pin to pin them together under Belindy's dress which can be removed so you can display them however you like. I think you would just love these for Christmas or as a great gift!

I used a My Raggedy Dolls pattern to create the doll. I designed the little snowman myself.
