Gertie Ann is a Primitive Raggedy Doll all handmade by me, Raggedy Jayne. She is 13 inches tall & stuffed with polyfil. She has been coffee-stained. The bodice fabric is white with small blue flowers print and the skirt is blue with small leaves print. Sewn to the front is a vintage blue button. I handstitched her eyes, nose, mouth and smile with embroidery floss. Her legs and shoes are painted and sanded for an aged-look. Her bloomers are muslin. Her hair is burgundy-dyed sheep's wool needle felted to the top of her head. I blushed her cheeks. I painted a tag with her face and I handstamped her name, Gertie Ann on it. She can be hung by the loop of thread on the back of her head. I used a Chestnut Junction pattern to create her. She will come to you signed and dated by me, "Raggedy Jaynes".
