Dot is a Primitive Black Raggedy Doll all handmade by me, Raggedy Jayne. She is 8 inches tall & stuffed with polyfil I made Dot from muslin, then painted, tea stained and sanded her for an aged-look. I stitched a red with white polka dot nose on her. I painted the whites of her eyes and sewed on black buttons for eyes. I embroidered her eyebrows, lashes and mouth. I made her skirt from white with red polka dot cotton fabric. Her hair is dyed sheep's wool needle felted to the top of her head. I blushed her cheeks. I tied a rusty bell around her neck. I painted a tag with her face and I handstamped her name, Dot on it. She can be hung by the loop of thread on the back of her head. I used my own pattern to create her. She will come to you signed and dated by me, "Raggedy Jaynes". She comes from our smoke free home.
