Clara Ann is a Primitive Raggedy Nurse Doll all handmade by me, Raggedy Jayne! She measures about 16 inches tall. I tea-stained her with tea, vanilla and cinnamon, then baked her for vintage charm! She is made from muslin and stuffed with polyfil. I made her dress from a cotton print fabric with hearts, crutches, bandaids, thermometers, etc, printed all over it. It is a nurse/doctor items print. I sewed an old button on her dress. Her bloomers are muslin. Her nose is felt that I handstitched on. Her eyes are painted black. I used DMC embroidery floss for her eyelashes, eyebrows and mouth. I used burgundy red DMC embroidery floss for her hair and stitched it to the top of her head. I made her a nurse's hat from muslin and I handpainted a red cross on it. I painted her leg stripes and shoes and lightly sanded them for an aged-look. I added ties to her shoes. She also comes with her own hangtag that I tea-stained and painted her face on, and handstamped her name, Clara Ann on. She can hang by the loop of thread on the back of her head. She also comes with her own little bandaid box. It measures about 2 3/8" x 1 3/4" x 1". I printed an image of an old design of a Bandaid Box, folded it into a box shape, sealed it, then stuffed it with polyfil. I tied it on her arm and it can be easily removed if you like. I used a "Prim Raggs" pattern to create the doll. She would look cute with your collections and hung on an old cupboard door! I think a nurse would love this doll! A great original gift idea! My dolls are for collecting and decorating and not for children.
