This is Sock Monkey Annie, one of my handmade primitive raggedy dolls, measures about 12 inches tall. Her little sock monkey is about 6 1/2 inches tall. He is all handmade also, I used a brown specked fabric that resembles sock monkey socks but it is cotton. I used little black seed beads sewn on for eyes . I painted and stuffed the snout. Hands and feet and top of head have been painted also. I sewed the monkey to Annie so he doesn't get lost! Sock Monkey Annie is made of muslin and her dress bodice is red and white checked cotton fabric. The skirt part is cotton fabric with sock monkeys printed all over it. I sewed a vintage button to the front of her dress. Her bloomers are made from muslin. I heavily tea stained her and her clothes. Her nose, eyebrows, lashes, and smile are stitched. I painted the whites of her eyes and then sewed on black buttons. Her hair is burgundy embroidery floss sewn to the top of her head with a matching bow. I painted her leg stripes and shoes and lightly sanded them for an aged-look. I made a tag for her and handstamped her name, "Sock Monkey Annie" on it. You can hang her up by the thread I sewed to the back of her head. She comes to you signed and dated by me, Raggedy Jayne, from our smoke-free home. I used my own pattern to create her. I used a Sweet Meadows Farm pattern for the monkey. All handmade by me , in the USA.
